About Kariel Thompson

A longtime resident of the Greater Los Angeles area, Kariel Thompson holds a Master of Arts in Communication Disorders from California State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California Irvine. She has found considerable success as a Los Angeles speech-language pathologist, both with Julia Hobbs Speech Pathology and with her own private practice. Kariel Thompson also contributed to the 2003 Supplementary Course Manual for the Fundamentals of Public Speaking course at Santa Monica College. Her areas of expertise range from general early communication disorder intervention to traumatic brain injuries and issues that relate to Alzheimer’s disease, autism, and other disorders.

Outside of the professional arena, Kariel Thompson is an avid archery enthusiast who loves refining her abilities through target practice. Her other athletic activities include hiking and skiing. When she has time to relax, Ms. Thompson enjoys going out for brunch and watching films in the theater.
